Help docs and videos that update themselves when your product changes

We're building a help center that keeps up with your releases. When a code change merges, Jackdaw finds the articles, screenshots and videos it affects and redrafts them together. You approve all of it in one review before anything goes live.

Early access opens in small batches. We're building it for our own products first.

A sketch of the planned flow, with an example product. Nothing here is live yet.

How it will work

From a merged change to an approved update

  1. A change merges

Jackdaw reads each pull request when it lands on your main branch.

  2. It finds the help it touches

It matches the change to the articles, screenshots and videos that show that part of your product.

  3. It redrafts all three

The text is rewritten, the screenshots are re-taken and the video is re-recorded, from the same change.

  4. You approve once

Every change sits side by side in one review. Nothing goes live until you click Approve.

Our aim

Quiet on refactors. A cleanup your users can't see, like renaming a file or moving code around, shouldn't flag any help as out of date.

One change, one review

The article, its screenshots and its video move together

Help goes stale in pieces. Someone fixes the text and the old screenshot stays. Jackdaw will redraft every piece from the same change, and you'll review them on one screen.

  • Before and after for each piece, side by side.
  • Nothing will go live without a click from your team.

Who it's for

Customer help, for teams without a technical writer

Help for the people using your product

Jackdaw will keep the where-do-I-click answers in your help center true after every UI change. It's for the help your customers read. API references and developer docs have tools of their own.

Questions

Before you join

Something else on your mind? Email [email protected].

When can I use it?

We're building Jackdaw for our own products first. Early access opens after that, in small batches, and people on the waitlist hear first.

How much will it cost?

We haven't set a price yet. It's built for small teams, and you'll see the price before you're asked to pay anything.

Which help tools will it work with?

Tell us on the form what you use today. The answers decide which help tools we connect first.

Is my code safe?

We don't have the full answer written yet. Before early access opens we'll explain what it reads, where it runs and what it keeps, so you can decide with the details in front of you.

Can anything go live without me?

No. Every redrafted article, screenshot and video will wait in a review until someone on your team approves it.

Will it write developer docs?

No. It's for the help center your customers read. API references and developer docs are a different job, and tools like Mintlify and Promptless already cover it.

We're building it for our own products first

We run two software companies, Rooket (AI marketing) and Cornix (a trading platform). Both ship every week, and their help centers fall behind. Jackdaw is how we plan to fix that, on our products before anyone else's.

  • AccessOpens in small batches. The waitlist hears first.
  • UpdatesA short email every 4 to 6 weeks while we build.
  • PriceNot set yet. It will be priced for small teams.
